INDUSTRIAL PLASTIC SYSTEMS, INC.

FRP Tanks and Vessels

Industrial Plastic Systems is highly qualified and experienced in designing and manufacturing any type of vessel you may have a need for.  We have engineered and built 50' tall storage tanks, 12' dia. underground horizontal storage tanks, 12' diameter above ground storage tanks, 45' tall hydrogen sulfide scrubbers, 200 psi pressure vessels, 100 ft tall free standing stacks, 150 ft tall guyed stacks and 200' plus tall stack liners and 13'6" diameter skirt and leg elevated storage tanks with cone or dished bottom heads.  All vessels are built to industry standards.  See the SPECIFICATIONS page.  Our maximum diameter is 13'6" diameter.  For you convenience, IPS has made a capacity chart for tanks we manufacture on a separate web page (TANK CAPACITIES).

IPS can offer any type of typical, as well as custom, vessel fittings and accessories.  Standard heads are F&D dished.  Additionally, cone end caps, tops, and bottoms are also available.  We have conically gusseted nozzles up to 8" diameter.  Manways start at 20" diameter up to 36" diameter. Rectangular connections to stacks and scrubbers are easily manufactured.  IPS's typical hold down and lifting lugs are fiberglass but we also offer stainless steel and hasteloy lugs.  FRP platforms for large vertical vessels and stacks are also available.  See the STRUCTURES web page.  IPS can supply aluminum platforms with our vessels if that is the engineers' preference.

Another feature to IPS tanks is insulation.  Insulated tanks have the option to be heat traced.  Heaters and insulation thickness are designed per the fluid  temperature requirement and the tank's surroundings.  Typically, all IPS insulated tanks have a protective FRP cladding/skin to protect the tank's insulation and a tank mounted control panel.

IPS is willing to assist engineers and contractors in specification writing, resin selection, structural design, CAD layout and installation procedures for any future projects.  It should be noted that fiberglass vessel installation must be properly installed, like any other type of equipment, to insure no damage to the vessel in the future.
